Purchasing a Dinner Service

Buying a Dinner Service is one of the more important decisions. It's usually a personal choice that should not be rushed, because it's often a decision for life and the whole family is affected. If you're choosing a Wedding List then it's even more important to know that your decision is the right one.

Not a department store: Samples from over 20 of Spode's Dinner Services are on permanent display in the Show House in real home environments, and there are many alternatives- for example, Blue Italian tableware and ovenware (which make excellent everyday options) or the many other Imperialware designs for which Spode is famous.

Tussie Mussie is not a department store or mall china shop. Nowhere will you see untouchable glass cases or limited stacks of pre-selected china that someone else wants you to buy. Here you make your own decision ... in your own time and in your own way. Tussie Mussie is, above all, an 'ideas house', where you find the right Dinner Service for your home by touching it and seeing it in a real live home environment.

Browse at leisure: in the Show House you can take your time trying each design in the kitchen, breakfast room or dining room. See how they work with other patterns. Ask Pam for advice about any aspect of Spode. Not until you are completely comfortable should you make your decision.

Even then, you may need to think about things a little. Pam has no problem with this - she will happily welcome you back at a later time to play some more.

Stay awhile: Of course, if you live nearby, it's easy to come back. But what if you live farther away? Well, we have an answer - why not stay overnight and capture that special village atmosphere whilst you're making your important decision?

Chamomile Cottage, in the courtyard behind Tussie Mussie Show House, is the perfect place. This can be free to genuine Spode Dinner Service purchasers - whether you are buying for yourself or deciding on a Wedding List. The aim is to give you the freedom to consider your decision while you sample real village life in the heart of this charming Conservation Area. You will relax in the comfort of a real country cottage with Rayburn cooker, beamed bedroom, secluded garden and private entrance.

You qualify for free accommodation if you decide to buy, or ask Pam to keep your Wedding List. If you decide not to buy Spode, then you simply pay for one night's accommodation before you leave. There are no other conditions or charges.
